-
A: Many patients choose to use HSA/FSA funds for eligible services. However, coverage and reimbursement decisions are determined by each individual insurance plan, employer, or HSA/FSA administrator. Aquarius Performance & Wellness cannot guarantee reimbursement and is not responsible for denied claims or non-reimbursed services.
-
A: No. Most routine office visits included within your membership do not require additional copays.
-

-
A: DPC and concierge medicine are similar in that they both focus on personalized care and improved accessibility.
However:
Concierge practices often bill insurance in addition to charging a membership fee
DPC practices generally operate outside the insurance model entirely
DPC is typically designed to provide more affordable, accessible, relationship-based care.

-

More time and attention from your provider
A proactive, preventative approach to health
Treatment that focuses on root cause and lifestyle
Support for performance, longevity, and optimization
A true long-term partnership in your healthcare
-
DPC is not health insurance and does not replace insurance coverage.
We strongly recommend maintaining insurance coverage for:
emergencies
hospitalization
surgery
specialist care
catastrophic medical expenses
-
A: Yes. Your membership is month-to-month after the initial 12-month commitment. We just ask for 30 days’ notice upon cancellation.
This 12-month commitment allows us to work together consistently and gives your body the time it needs to achieve meaningful, optimized results in your health, hormones, performance, and overall wellness.
-
A: We currently focus on individual adult memberships.
-
A: Yes. One of the major benefits of our model is improved accessibility and ongoing support between visits. One of our registered nurses, your Patient Care Coordinator, will reach out to you every 6-8 weeks to provide ongoing coaching and support. In addition:
Patients may communicate with the practice through:
Phone
Text
Email
Patient portal messaging
Communication is intended for appropriate medical guidance and continuity of care.
-
A: Whenever possible, we strive to offer prompt access for urgent medical concerns and acute visits. While we may be able to provide care for certain urgent issues, a local urgent care or emergency department may be better fitted.
-
A: Yes. Patients may keep their existing primary care provider while participating in one of our specialty wellness programs, including:
• Women’s hormone optimization
• Men’s hormone optimization (TRT)
• Weight loss & metabolic optimization
These programs are focused specifically on hormone health, metabolic health, body composition, and wellness optimization — they are not intended to replace a patient’s primary care provider or routine medical care, although we believe that treating the person as a whole can be more beneficial.
For patients enrolling in our Direct Primary Care (DPC) membership, we generally recommend having one provider clearly managing your overall primary care whenever possible. Having multiple providers functioning in a primary care role may create confusion or conflict regarding medications, follow-up care, preventive screenings, chronic disease management, and overall coordination of care.
However, every patient’s situation is unique, and in some cases patients may choose to maintain an outside PCP while also utilizing Aquarius DPC services. If this occurs, we encourage clear communication and coordinated care between providers whenever appropriate. Our initial consultation will determine if care under with practice is a good fit for both parties.
-
A: Many patients join DPC not because they are sick, but because they value:
root cause, early detection
lifestyle and performance based treatment
proactive care focused on longevity
accessible medical guidance
prevention and wellness optimization
long-term health planning
The goal is not simply to treat illness, but to help patients stay healthy and optimized over time.
-
A: Yes, when medically appropriate. We would manage your current medications and prescribe as necessary. Most medications would be covered by your insurance as usual. Treatment plans are individualized based on each patient’s:
symptoms
health history
lab work
goals
risk factors
-

Men’s hormone optimization (TRT) (testosterone)

Fertility guidance for men on our TRT program
Peptide therapy for qualified candidates
Metabolic health optimization
-
A: Yes, telemedicine may be available for appropriate follow-up care and certain medical concerns. DPC patients are required to be seen in person at least once yearly.
-
A: Our model emphasizes:
Comprehensive evaluation
Lifestyle focus
Physical, sexual & mental health

Ongoing monitoring
Root-cause medicine
Relationship-based care
Long-term health optimization
We prioritize frequent communication, quality, safety, accessibility, education, and continuity of care over high-volume, transactional medicine.
